Carnival Row Season 2 Release Date

The filming for Carnival Row season 2 has officially wrapped up and entered its post-production phase. The team is yet to reveal the exact release date of the upcoming installment. Initially, various news outlets predicted that the second season would drop in July of 2022; however, that seems unlikely now. This is because there is still an immense amount of post-production work that needs to finish before the latest season becomes available for streaming.

Carnival Row Season 2 Release Date
Carnival Row Season 2 Release Date

Based on careful evaluation, We believe that Carnival Row season 2 will drop sometime in August of 2022. This is exactly three years after its pilot season on Amazon Prime Video.

The team has also not disclosed whether the season will release the episodes at once or weekly. Most series are now released weekly or split into two parts. The Boys released the first three episodes of its third season at once and the rest in a weekly fashion. Carnival Row season 2 will probably follow a similar pattern.

Storyline

The official synopsis for Carnival Row season 2 is currently unavailable; nonetheless, based on season 1’s ending, we can predict a possible season 2 storyline. The first season follows the life of Philo, who gets occupied in detecting a series of gruesome murders. He unravels that a horrifying creature created from dead bodies, the Darkasher, is behind the murders.

The monster was under Piety Breakspear’s control, attempting to find her husband’s bastard child. Unfortunately for Piety, the monster died when Pietybwas killed by Vignette.

Towards the end of the season, we see all hell break loose in Burgue when the political parties separate the Fae and the other mythical creatures from the normal humans of Burgue. Therefore, in the second season, we expect to see how Burgue changes following the harsh decision made by the authorities. In the finale, Philo reveals his true identity of being a Fae.

Physical Season 2 Episode 4: Release Date & Preview

Moving forward, we believe Fae will attempt to stand up against Chancellor Jonah Breakspear’s racist regime. The show touches on the sensitive topic of racism, so the audience is eager to see how the showrunners handle the case. Will they do justice to the topic, or will they fall short on their portrayal, like most shows? Guess we have to tune into the newest season to find out.

Trailer

As of now, there is no trailer available for Carnival Row season 2. However, with the release date predicted to be only a couple of months away, we believe the trailer should be available sometime in July. The team is still working on the post-production phase of the sophomore season, so it is not surprising that a trailer is not out yet.

Nevertheless, through Cara Delevingne’s Instagram and Carnival Row’s official Twitter page, fans have been getting sneak peeks into the behind-the-scenes activities. And based on them, the upcoming season seems to be just as power-packed as the first one, if not more.
