His previous game, Stardew Valley, was a huge hit. Therefore the excitement for Haunted Chocolatier is high amongst gamers who have previously played Stardew Valley. In the same interview, he revealed he has been working on Haunted Chocolatier, the new game, for about two years. The interview happened last year, and he announced his upcoming match in 2021. However, he added it would take a while to release the game.
Stardew took five years, and if Haunted Chocolatier takes the same time for development, we can expect the game in 2025. We will let you know the official release date of Haunted Chocolatier when Barone announces the same.
Haunted Chocolatier: Trailer
Even though the game’s official release date is unavailable, we can still get the trailer. Barone released the trailer of the game in October 2021. It is a two-minute and 25 seconds long trailer.
In the trailers, the viewers see citizens walking around a little town that looks exceptionally cozy. An element of combat is also visible in the game, with the characters gathering ingredients in the wild. Also, there is a chocolate factory too! The touch of the pixel world remains in the game.
If you look carefully, you can see the build menu of the chocolate shop in the trailer. The build menu indicates it is possible to customize the chocolate shop regarding its decoration, flooring, and furniture. Of course, the players can display their chocolate creations too.
Another look in the trailer gives the feeling that the employees working in the shop are not real people but ghosts. This adds to the haunted element of the game. You can also listen to the soundtrack of the game in the trailer.

What To Expect From Haunted Chocolatier?
Barone already gave an idea to the gamers about what they can expect from the game. The game will have a delicate balance of spookiness and magic. Also, it will house a darker theme than the previous game. However, even though the game has a dark theme, the players will have an uplifting experience while playing the game.
In late October 2021, the developers also asked the fans to expect better combat focus on the game than his previous game. He created the combat system of the game from scratch. The players would enjoy different play styles in the combat system. He further talked about the defensive approach and the presence of a shield as a gaming component.
Finally, last year Barone confirmed that the players of his upcoming game could work on building relationships with the different in-game characters. Even Stardew Valley supported this feature.
Haunted Chocolatier: A Solo or Multiplayer Game?
According to the official website, it is a solo game. However, we can expect it to turn into a multiplayer mod. It is because Stardew was initially a solo game too. However, at a later stage, it became a multiplayer game. There might be similar changes for this game too.
