The HMD Global, which is a license holder to make and sell Nokia handsets. Has announced the next generation handset of Nokia 2 series. The new offering from the licensee is Nokia 2.3.
Nokia 2.3 comes with a very nice designed housing along with an interesting texture on the back. The HMD Global is touting Nokia 2.3 as an entertainment-focused and good camera smartphone.
On the launch of the device the HMD Global, Chief Product Officer, Juho Sarvika said. “The consumer world has really appreciated Nokia 2. And Nokia 2.3 is the next step towards our promise of offering an experience to everyone that stays longer.”

He further added, “With this promise, we are allowing our consumers access to two years of OS upgrades and three years of monthly security updates within the affordable price tier.”
Design-wise the handset looks classy and it comes with a huge screen, Dedicated Google Assistant button, dual rear camera setup, and two days battery life and sadly Nokia 2.3 supports Android 9 pie directly out of the box.
The reason why it is sad because HMD Global is well known for its speedy Android Updates cycle. In fact, apart from companies like Google and Essential, it is the only other brand that pushes out timely software updates for most of its devices.

The device offers a huge 6.2 inch 720p+ in-cell screen with a waterdrop notch. Offers 19:9 aspect ratio for deeper black and sharper images to enhance the viewing experience. The handset sporting in a polymer body with inner high die-cast aluminum chassis for rigid and solid design.
The smartphone is powered by MediaTek’s Helio A22 and 2 GB of RAM. It supports 32 GB onboard storage which is also expandable. Connectivity option includes 4G with LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth V5.0, 3.5MM jack and etc.
Furthermore, it comes with Nokia’s signature 2 days battery life, thanks to 4000 mAh cell Google’s Adaptive Battery feature. Software-wise, Nokia 2.3 boots on Android 9 Pie OS out of the box. And it will get the taste of Android 10 OS later this year.
