Since after releasing the first generation of Mix smartphone, Xioami keeps us guessing on the names of its upcoming smartphones. The company first launched the Mi Mix 2. It was then expected that the company would later release a Mix 3. However, we were met with a spinoff when the company revealed the Mi Mix 2s.
A couple of months followed by that Xioami still did further released the Mix 3 smartphone. This year came with the expectations of the release of Mi Mix 4. However, the Chinese company again surprised us with a twist by announcing the new Mix Alpha. In this smartphone, though, the twist was not only in the name. There is a robust change in the design outlook to the phone too.
The company has further given a sting to its follower by announcing that there will be no release of the Mix 4 this year. This was revealed through a message of Xiaomi China’s brand promotion manager Edward Bishop. Or this revelation was, in fact, a wrong interpretation of the brand ambassador’s message.
To clear the air, Xiaomi quickly clarified that he never confirmed that there wouldn’t be a Mi Mix 4 this year. However, he also further explained that there are no signs of a Mi Mix4 smartphone at least this year.
Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 Features at a Glance
This sure sparked a ray of hope in Xiaomi fans of a more affordable upcoming Mix smartphone this year. Rumors have started to fly according to the specifications of the upcoming Mi Mix 4. It is said that the smartphone will come with the latest Xiaomi MIUI 11.
Moreover, there are claims that the phone will feature a triple camera setup. This setup will consist of the principal shooter coming in par wit the Samsungs monster sensor that is the 108 MP ISOCELL bright HMX.
It is also possible that the smartphone will come with a 64 MO GW1 instead. Moreover, the Mix 4 is rumored to have a 16 MP ultra full angle shooter. In addition to that, there are expectations that the smartphone will have a telephoto shooter that has a 5x optical zoom through a periscope lens.
Apart from that, there are also additional features that the phone will have. First, off, there is an expectation that it will have a 45W fast charge and a 30 W wireless charging setup. Moreover, the phone will power through a 4500 mAh battery.
In terms of display, the phone is expected to have a QHD and an AMOLED display. The storage is also likely to be impressive, containing a UFS 3.0 storage. There are also hints that the smartphone will have a 108 MP sensor, probably like the Mix Alpha phone. However, these are all just mere rumors.
Additionally, it is an expectation that the upcoming Mix 4 will be an affordable phone in spite of the superb features it is offering. The price will surely contrast diversely with the staggering amount of the Mi Mix Alpha that has a price tag going far beyond $2000.
