Sony Pictures will premiere the Gran Turismo movie on August 11, 2023. The movie will compete at the box office with The Last Voyage of the Demeter, a Dracula film from Universal.

The cast for the live-action film is nothing short of stellar. Archie Madekwe will play the role of the lead actor, Jann Mardenborough. He is best known for his roles in Midsommar. Furthermore, he will also be appearing in Netflix’s Heart of Stone, set to release on the same day as Gran Turismo.
Geri Halliwell will play the role of Jann’s mother, while Daniel Puig will act as Jann’s brother. Gran Turismo Movie Plot
The upcoming Gran Turismo movie from Sony is set to be a sports drama that follows a biographical coming-of-age storyline. The original Gran Turismo video game series has no characters or story and is focused solely on driving and racing. To work around this, Sony is using the PlayStation Studios brand to create a narrative around the life of Jann Mardenborough while keeping the game in mind. He was then allowed to represent Nissan in the Dubai 24-Hour race and went on to win several other Nissan events, making a successful career as a professional race car driver.
