In the much anticipated conference where Xiaomi Mi 9 was launched along with Mi 9 Transparent edition. The company CEO Lei Jun introduced Special edition of Xiaomi Mi 9 SE. Xiaomi Mi 9 SE is world’s first smartphone powered by a Snapdragon 712 SoC Chipset.
Design wise Xiaomi Mi 9 SE equipped with a gradient holographic rainbow spectrum on the back side of handset. The transparent edition is considered as most expensive of the lot with 256 Gigs on board memory and 12GB RAM as it got a transparent back that portray internals of handset.
Xiaomi Mi 9 SE attain the needs of customers who don’t necessarily need all the specifications and features of flagship smartphones or the users who need a smaller but competitive handset. So, in short we can say that with Xiaomi Mi 9 SE company is trying to pick-up the users with these requirements.

Xiaomi Mi 9 SE phone comes with triple camera setup on the backside just like Mi 9. But the camera configuration is slightly different from previously launched Mi 9. All three camera sensor consists of 48MP 13MP sensor with super wide angle lens of 123° and a 8MP telephoto sensor. along with Sony IMX586 sensor on the back. While the front facing camera is 20MP with beauty selfie.

As Mi 9 Se is word’s first smartphone with snapdragon SoC. So, It is worth to note that Xiaomi scores a first with one, as chipset scored 180k on AnTuTu benchmark ranking scale.
The handset Mi 9 SE is smaller than the previously launched flagship handset, it has 5.97 inch AMOLED display panel comes with 2.D curved glass and water notch on the top which hides front camera and gives 90.7% screen to body ratio. And slightly thick bezels on the bottom. There is also a fifth generation under display fingerprint sensor.
Regardless of all the above mentioned features of Mi 9 Se, it stick-out points of Mi 9 is that it is the world’s first that comes with snapdragon 712 SoC. As per the company declaration, it is strong enough to serve the needs of 99% of its users as it is combined with 6GB of RAM and ROM option of 64GB and 128GB.
Along with latest android operating system Mi 9 SE houses rich features such as Type-C charging port, 3070 mAh battery with long day battery backup and 18W fast charging. Xiaomi Mi 9 lacks 3.5MM audio jack. So, users will have to rely on USB Type-C port or wireless headphones. Some other main features include gaming booster, NFC chip.
Xiaomi Mi 9 Price
Xiaomi Mi 9 SE is ready to go on sale in China from 26th February 2019. As we mentioned earlier Mi 9 SE will be available in two configuration i.e. 6GB RAM and 64GB ROM on the other hand we have 6GB RAM variant with 128GB ROM.
6GB RAM variant with 64GB on board storage costs 1,999 yuan (US$ 297) and 6GB RAM variant with 128 GB inbuilt storage is priced at 2,299 yuan (US$ 341)
