Xiaomi is going to introduce talk of the town the Under-display fingerprint sensor in it’s Mi 7 smartphone. Company’s CEO Lei Jun confirmed it on a Weibo discussion. Xiaomi posted Mi Mix 2S teardown pictures on its official Weibo account and one of the users humorously posted a comment saying that the Xiaomi Mi 7 could arrive with an under-display sensor. Replying to this, Lei Jun responded stating that it will, for sure.

As far as Mi 7 Specifications are concerned the device is said to run on Snapdragon 845 SoC and 6GB/8GB RAM. Xiaomi Mi 7 has been already spotted on bench-marking website GeekBench with code-name Xiaomi Dipper. It has recorded 2449 points in single-core test and 8309 points in multi-core test. Geekbench listing reveals that a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 1.77 GHz octa-core processor and 6GB RAM, Android 8.0 with MIUI 9 runs the device. Mi 7 will sport a 5.6-inch display with 1440 x 2880 pixel resolution, Adreno 630 GPU and storage variants of 64GB/128GB & 6GB/8GB RAM. Earlier leaked reports suggested that there could be a display notch on Mi 7 just like iPhoneX which has now become a very common thing among high-end Android smartphones. A non-removable 4480mAh battery with quick charge is going to power the device. Camera specs include a 16-megapixel dual rear sensor with dual tone LED flash and a selfie shooter of 13-megapixels.
Xiaomi earlier confirmed that it’s next flagship device will have Qi wireless charging. Recent reveals from China suggest that Xiaomi Mi 7 will have 7.5W fast charging functionality. As of now 7.5W wireless charging system is being used in iPhone X, 8 and 8 Plus flagship devices. Xiaomi Mi 7 Price in India could be tagged around Rs 30,000.
