Today, Motorola announced a new smartphone called the Motorola P30 in a launch event in China. It is Lenovo’s first smartphone having notched display. The mid-range phone stands out for its interesting specifications and attractive design. The handset comes in three colour options namely Ice Jade White, Bright Black and Aurora Color Gradient. The handset has a thickness of 7.69mm with 170g weight.
The price for 6GB + 64GB variant is 2099 Yuan around Rs 21000. Another variant with 6GB + 128GB costs 2499 Yuan around Rs 25000. The mobile can be purchased from 15 September onwards.

The P30 houses a 6.2-inch IPS LCD screen that supports Full HD + resolution of 2246 x 1080 pixels. The display has an aspect ratio of 19: 9. Also on the front and back is 2.5D gorilla glass protection and metal frame in the middle. The Snapdragon 636 is the chipset having octa-core Kryo 260 CPU (clocks up to 1.8GHz) and Adreno 509 GPU. Memory available is 6GB RAM with 64GB and 128 GB storage options.
The rear panel of the Motorola P30 features a dual vertical camera system. It includes the 16-megapixel OV16B primary sensor and f / 1.8 aperture and the 5-megapixel OV5675 secondary sensor with f / 2.2 aperture. Moreover, the dual system comes with dual-tone LED flash, background blur, HDR, professional mode, panoramic photo and portrait mode. While at the front is a 12-megapixel self-camera with f / 2.0 aperture and a pixel size of 1.25μm. The front camera with artificial intelligence can capture bokeh photos. Other features include augmented reality and wide-angle selfie.
The Motorola device supports 18W fast charging with 3000 mAh battery. It is a patented Motorola technology that promises 8 hours of battery life with only 15 minutes of charging. Motorola’s logo “M” on the rear panel of the P30 comes with a fingerprint sensor. In addition, the phone is also equipped with facial recognition functionality. Connectivity preferences include Dolby sound output, game mode, SIM hybrid slot, VoLTE 4G, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, USB-C, GPS and 3.5mm audio output.
