Moto G8 Plus Launched With Snapdragon 665 Chipset

Moto G8 Plus launched today in Brazil. Before the official launch, G8 was in rumours for the very long time. The rumours mill suggested many features of Moto G8 plus before the launch and left very little to imagine.

Before the official launch, Moto G8 Plus was basically found on GeekBench. Where the listing confirmed the hotkey features and specifications of G8 plus. As per the listing, G8 plus seen scoring 314 in the single-core test, and 1,264 in the multi-core test. You can check the results below.

The device comes with water-drop notch screen that includes single selfie shooter. Which means the G8 plus will support minimum bezels to offer larger screen to body ratio.

As per the listing, Motorola G8 plus will feature a huge size 6.3 inch LCD screen with FHD+ resolution of 2280×1080 pixels.

Photography will be the unique selling proposition of G8 plus is its triple camera setup. In the three cameras, the 48 megapixels primary camera is main from all those three as it supports 4K video recording. A 16 megapixels sensor is available to capture ultra-wide Action shots along with a 5 megapixels depth sensor.

In the selfies section, G8 plus rely on a 25 megapixels front shooter with an f/2.0 aperture.

Under the hood, it supports a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 655 octa-core processor chipset with 4GB RAM. And 64GB of internal storage, which is expandable with up to 512GB of microSD card.

Making sure, everything ticks well, G8 Plus equips a 4,000 mAh battery with 18W turbo fast charging support. In the security section, it has a physical fingerprint reader placed next to the camera array aligned to the centre. The back panel of the phone is not made up of glass but it gives a premium feel.

In the connectivity section, it includes NFC, Bluetooth 5.0, dual SIM card support, Dual band Wi-fi and 3.5mm audio jack.

Lastly, Moto G8 plus will run on the Android Pie operating system directly out of the box and it likely to soon update to Android 10.

It is available in the market via online and offline stores from today. The device is priced at Rs 13,999.
