In October we will see the release of the Huawei Mate 20 series. As addressed by the company’s CEO Richard Yu, the Mate 20 series will have the Kirin 980 SoC integrated into it. However, the latest information supported by the famous platform Geekbench tells that one phone in the series will have Kirin 710 chipset.
The smartphone which will feature HiSilicon Kirin 710 is Huawei Mate 20 Lite. It is the second phone by Huawei featuring this 12nm HiSilicon chip while the first phone is Huawei Nova 3i. Nova 3i, releases in August, also features 6.3″ LCD display with 3340 mah battery and 6GB RAM.
Three smartphones represent under Mate 2 series which are Mate 20, Mate 20 Lite and Mate 20 Pro. Out of which, Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro will feature the Kirin 980 chipset. This is the earth’s first 7nm FinFET built chipset whose CPU will clock up to 2.8GHz and have four cores of each A55 and A76. Few known rumored specifications of Huawei Mate 20 Pro is that it will carry 6.2″ AMOLED display having Quad HD resolution.

Talking of Huawei Mate 20 Lite, the smartphone appears on Geekench and show some impressive results. It appears on Geekbench with the model number Huawei SNE-LX1. The single core points scored by Mate 20 Lite are 1598 and are very near to what Nova 3i scored. So, we can say that it will serve the same processor as of Nova 3i which is Kirin 710. Moreover, the multi-score points scored are 4665 which are somewhat 1000 points less than scored by Nova 3i. It might be occurred due to the incomplete firmware of Mate 20 Lite. The octa-core processor shown in the listings will have a frequency of 1.71GHz.
Another important specification shown is that the device with 4GB RAM. But, recent TENAA listings show 6GB memory for Mate 20 Lite so it is the second variant to the smartphone. Also, it will have Android 8.1 Oreo as the OS. The TENAA listings of the device show 6.3″ FHD+ display with the notch. Also, a 24-MP selfie sensor and dual sensors of 20MP +2MP at the back with LED flash. Till now only this info is available. Stay tuned to get more.
