Chinese manufacturer Vivo has launched a new budget smartphone Vivo Y71 smartphone in India. Priced at Rs 10,999 this devices comes with Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box. This device is first from Vivo’s Y series and we expect more to launch this year. Surprisingly, Company has ditched Fingerprint sensor from Vivo Y71 replacing it with Android’s Facial recognition. This is a new experiment from Vivo and may start a new trend. This mid range smartphone is going to compete with the likes of Redmi Note 5, Honor 9 Lite etc.

Vivo Y71 offers a 5.99 inch HD+ bezel-less display with 18:9 aspect ratio and resolution of 1440X720 pixels. A Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor runs this device coupled with 3GB of RAM. There comes 16GB of internal storage further expandable via microSD card. It comes with Android 8.0 Oreo with company’s own FunTouch OS on top of it.
On camera front it sports a 13-megapixel sensor with LED flash while there is also a front shooter of 5 Megapixels to shoot selfies in HD. Backed by a 3360mAh battery this handset measures 154.81 x 75.03 x 7.89 mm. Connectivity features include . 4G VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, FM Radio, GLONASS, GPS, micro USB and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Available to buy at a Price of Rs 10,999 Vivo Y71 will soon hit retail stores across the country. Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 and Honor 9 Lite are major competitors for this phone.
