Lori Vallow Daybell, an Idaho mother, has been charged with killing her two children, Tylee Ryan and Joshua “JJ” Vallow. She is also charged with playing a role in murdering the first wife of her husband, Tammy Daybell. Although she pleaded not guilty, the jury has declared her guilty on all counts, and she will receive her sentence within the next three months.

The Jury’s Verdict
The jury, consisting of five women and seven men, has declared Lori Vallow Daybell guilty of the following charges,
- Murdering Tyler Ryan and JJ Vallow, her two children.
- Conspiring to murder Tammy Daybell, her husband’s first wife.
- Stealing her children’s social security payments.
Moreover, Chad Daybell, her husband, is also facing similar charges, but his trial will be held separately.

Upon hearing the jury’s verdict, Lori Vallow Daybell expressed no emotions. However, she did seem a little upset at her attorney for wanting to shift the charges onto her husband in the closing arguments.
As for the relatives of the dead children, they were relieved. JJ’s grandparent, Larry Woodcock, was highly thankful to the jurors and everyone who helped the victims get justice.
He shared his feelings saying, “Even the defence, I shook their hands. I have said many times, I want a fair, honest and righteous decision. I think we had 18 jurors that all deserve our appreciation, our love, and they gave an honest, fair and righteous verdict.”

Similarly, prosecutors Lindsey Blake and Rob Wood also released a statement showing their happiness with the jury’s verdict. However, they refused to share any more details regarding the case.
Lori Vallow Daybell will not be moved to Fremont County for further sentencing. According to Judge Steven Boyce, she will receive her sentence in approximately three months.
The Lori Vallow Daybell Trial
Lori Vallow Daybell is charged with conspiring in the death of her husband’s first wife, Tammy Daybell. She died in her sleep in 2019, after which Lori and Chad married.
Moreover, the remains of Lori’s children were found in Chad’s backyard in Idaho in 2020! He is charged with the following counts,
- Conspiracy to commit destruction
- Concealing evidence
Lori’s defence tried to pass a motion to seek the judgement of acquittal before her case was given to the jury. However, the motion was denied by Judge Steven Boyce.

Vallow’s attorney tried to prove her innocence by saying, “No one here thinks Lori actually killed anyone, that’s why she’s being charged with conspiracy. If you find her guilty, will that bring the kids back? Nope. If you find her not guilty, will that bring the kids back? Nope.”
However, Lori and Chad’s friends said the couple was part of a doomsday cult and had extreme religious beliefs.
They endorsed and espoused “religious beliefs for” justifying killing both the children and Tammy Daybell, according to the May 2021 indictment.
