The MSNCB Live Anchor- Katy Tur and her husband, CBS This Morning co-star Tony Dokupil, expects their second child, as revealed by a source close to the couple. The couple expects to welcome the baby girl in the middle of May, joining the couple’s 21-month old son Theodore, a.k.a “Teddy” along with Dokupil’s two children from his previous marriage.
Various insider sources have revealed that the couple had wanted to “try again” for another baby and were happy to find out they were expecting last summer. Since the baby is not due until the mid of May, there is no definite name set up. Sources revealed that they are “knocking around some names” for the upcoming little one.
The sources revealed the mom-to-be is a “bit tired” and craves pickle chips and root-beer floats in bed for the concerned fans. Tur has previously stressed and opened up about parental leave’s importance, five months after giving birth to her son Teddy.
While on her first day back after her maternity leave in September 2019 in the special “One More Thing” segment, the then-new mom talked about her difficult experiences during birth on April 13. She opened up about the “unplanned” cesarean section, postpartum hallucination, and even breastfeeding challenges.
Revealing her struggle with postpartum hallucinations, Tur recalls an event in the hospital when she felt tired, and everything felt like a “waking dream”. She recalls thinking that her mother-in-law was hiding under the bed and a tall man was standing over her speaking German
With her second child on the way, Tur is spending her time resting. Pregnancy and childbirth are crucial events of a person’s life that should be given appropriate importance through parental leaves.
