Jujutsu Kaisen Season 4 now has a new director, a published staff and cast list, a teaser and a poster, but still no premiere date. As of Nov. 3, 2026, none of the official Season 4 materials we reviewed names a release date, a release window or a streaming platform for “The Culling Game Part 2.”
Even so, what the anime’s official channels have released since June is enough to show who is making the season and what it will cover. The next fixed point on the calendar is Jump Festa 2027 in Japan, where four of the show’s voice actors are booked for a 30-minute stage on Dec. 19.
The details below come from the official Japanese site, the TOHO animation YouTube channel and the Jump Festa site. All translations are our own.
A new director for Part 2
The main staff news came on June 19, 2026, when the official site posted the Season 4 teaser. The post says Takeru Sato, who handled episode direction and served as assistant director on “The Culling Game Part 1,” “newly serves as director” on Part 2. The reading “Takeru” comes from the furigana printed on Sato’s official comment card.
That comment card, posted alongside the teaser, is short. Sato says he feels “the weight of the responsibility” of being entrusted with an original loved by many “more strongly every day.” He adds that the whole staff is working on the series sincerely and that he would be glad if fans look forward to it.
Beyond Sato, the teaser’s description on the TOHO animation channel lists the main staff. Shota Goshozono is credited as chief director, a separate role from Sato’s. Here is a partial list of the credits:
| Role | Staff |
|---|---|
| Original work | Gege Akutami (Shueisha Jump Comics) |
| Chief director | Shota Goshozono |
| Director | Takeru Sato |
| Series composition and screenplay | Hiroshi Seko |
| Character design | Yosuke Yajima, Hiromi Niwa, Sota Yamazaki |
| Art director | Junichi Higashi |
| Color design | Eiko Matsushima |
| Director of photography | Teppei Ito |
| Music | Yoshimasa Terui |
| Animation production | MAPPA |
The same description lists nine cast members. They are Junya Enoki (Yuji Itadori), Yuma Uchida (Megumi Fushiguro), Mikako Komatsu (Maki Zenin), Kazuya Nakai (Kinji Hakari), Daisuke Namikawa (Choso), Noriko Hidaka (Yuki Tsukumo), Ryohei Kimura (Hajime Kashimo), Takahiro Sakurai (Kenjaku) and Junichi Suwabe (Ryomen Sukuna).
What the teaser and the poster show
Most of those characters appear in the teaser itself. The video runs 69 seconds, and its YouTube title calls Season 4 “hard at work in production.” It had more than 21.5 million views when we checked on Nov. 3.
The official post describes battles that grow “even fiercer” as the chaos speeds up. It names Hakari and Kashimo fighting with their techniques unleashed, Maki in a powerful fight, Choso standing up to Kenjaku, Yuki Tsukumo, and Yuji, Megumi and others locked in desperate battles.
A second piece of art followed on Aug. 29, 2026. The “super teaser visual” post describes Sukuna glaring out of dim water with his hand reaching toward the viewer. The tagline printed on the poster reads, “Do you remember? I told you you’d get to see something interesting.”
That Aug. 29 post also said a Season 4 story outline was being released. The official introduction page, as archived on Sept. 3, says the Culling Game “enters a new phase.” It sends Hakari and Panda to Tokyo Colony No. 2 to find Kashimo, who holds 100 points. Meanwhile, Choso and Tsukumo guard Tengen, and Sukuna is “plotting something.”
What has not been announced
The poster carries no date, and the teaser’s YouTube title and description give none. As of Nov. 3, 2026, none of the official Season 4 materials we reviewed gives a premiere date, a release season, a Japanese broadcaster or a streaming service for the new episodes.
Those materials are the June 19 and Aug. 29 news posts, the story page and the teaser’s YouTube listing. The story page does say Part 1 began airing on the MBS/TBS network in January 2026, but it does not say where Part 2 will air.
We covered the start of this stage of the series in March, when Season 4 was officially announced as the second part of the Culling Game arc.
The Jump Festa 2027 stage on Dec. 19
The official site’s news list carries an Oct. 19 post announcing the cast for the Jump Festa 2027 Super Stage. Shueisha’s Jump Festa program page lists the Jujutsu Kaisen stage on Day 1, Saturday, Dec. 19, 2026, from 3:25 p.m. to 3:55 p.m. Japan time.
The event itself runs Dec. 19 and 20 at Makuhari Messe International Exhibition Halls 1–9 and 11 in Chiba, Japan, according to the Jump Festa site. For U.S. fans, Japan time is 14 hours ahead of Eastern time and 17 hours ahead of Pacific time in December.
By that math, the 30-minute slot runs from 1:25 a.m. to 1:55 a.m. ET on Saturday, Dec. 19, or from 10:25 p.m. to 10:55 p.m. PT on Friday, Dec. 18. The program page does not mention a livestream.
Four actors are listed for the stage: Enoki as Yuji, Komatsu as Maki, Nakai as Hakari and Namikawa as Choso. The page promises cast members who are active in the Culling Game and a look at the series’ “past and future.” It does not say whether any announcements are planned.
The actors’ short comments on the page still point toward the new season. Nakai, who says it is his first Jujutsu Kaisen stage at Jump Festa, wrote, “Let’s get excited heading toward Season 4!” Komatsu noted that it is her first time on a Jujutsu Kaisen stage in five years.
Getting into the hall takes planning. Entry is free but limited to advance applicants and invited guests, and every visitor of elementary school age or older needs an entry ticket in the Jump NAVI app. The site shows ticket applications open from 10 a.m. on Nov. 2 until 5:59 p.m. on Nov. 16, Japan time.
