HMD’s Nokia 1 with Android Go launched in India at ₹5,499: See Features, Specifications

The low-budget HMD’s proposal launched in India as code named Nokia 1. The device is a breakthrough for entry level phones and in admitting technology. Its design is familiar regarding the traditional Nokia handsets. Nokia 1 is a smart device with new featuring technology driving into one small thing. It influences the people with accessing tech. It fully supports Android Oreo (Go edition), a version of Android renovated for devices with 1GB RAM or less memory. The daily-use apps such as WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram are in-built with numerous other apps that are optimized for Android Oreo (Go edition). The users can personalize the device using popular Xpress-on covers which comes in different colors. The makeover covers also feature iconic Nokia Smile with a blooming package for good-looking of the device. The two-tone polycarbonate covers has been designed with cleanness and are robust. The device features Multi-touch (5 fingers touch)tech and comes with Dual nano-SIM support. A removable 2150 mAh battery delivers 9 hours of talktime and 15 hours of standby and also bears the IP52 certification for limited dust entry. The connectivity aspects includes 4G LTE, Wi-fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/AGPS, FM Radio and 3.5 mm headphone jack. Talking of sensors, Nokia 1 has Ambient light sensor, Proximity sensor, and G-sensor. Power/unlock key is on right side along with volume rockers. The handset is 9.5 mm thick with 131 g weight.

The Nokia 1 comes with small 4.5-inch IPS display with capacitive touchscreen shows the resolution of 480 * 854 pixels. Having 16: 9 aspect ratio it comes with pixel density of 218 ppi. The core of the device comprises of quad-core CPU with Mediatek MT6737M processor having 1.1 GHz clocking frequency. The chipset integrates 1 GB LPDDR3 RAM and 8 GB ROM (expansion upto 128 GB through microSD dedicated slot). The primary sensor is 5-MP with LED Flash while front have a 2-MP sensor for selfies.

The device will be available from March 28 in Warm Red and Dark Blue to the customers while its cost is ₹5,499. However, the Xpress-on covers will be sold separately with price of ₹450 INR in Pink, Grey, or somewhat Yellow and Azure. Azure is a variant of Blue color. Other offers for Indian customers comprises of cashback of ₹2, 200 given by RelianceJio including 60 GB 4G data, 20% off on first booking and travelling with Red Bus app.
