The Chinese leading mobile manufacturer has launched its premium flagship of the year. The Mi Mix 2S has now gone official with 8.1 mm thickness and becomes first Chinese device to come with Snapdragon 845. The highly expected smartphone of 1st Quarter 2018 has wireless charging supported. Its design is similar to its predecessors of Mix series.
At the front design level, the Mi MIX 2S has narrow bezels similar to the Mi MIX 2. Its body is unique ceramic body with four curved edges and made of 7000 series aluminium. Xiaomi has reduced the size of lower panel while it presents the camera for selfies in the right bottom corner. The rear and front of the Mi MIX 2S is in Corning Gorilla Glass 4.

The Mi MIX 2S features an IPS LCD Full Screen 2.0 display that measures 5.99 inches diagonally. The display provides Full HD + resolution of 2160 * 1080 pixels while the screen has a ratio of 18: 9. The Snapdragon 845 chipset, together with the Artificial Intelligence Engine (AIE), powers the Mi MIX 2S. It combines Quick Charge 3.0 technology that allows fast charging of 3,400 mAh battery. The processor is 64-bit octa-core with speed up-to 2.8 GHz while Adreno 630 GPU is equipped with it.
At camera level, the device comes with a vertically aligned dual configuration. It features a 12-MP (f/ 1.8)Sony IMX363 sensor that has a pixel size of 1.4 microns. To this is added a 12-MP (f/ 2.4)secondary telephoto lens that supports optical zoom. The dual rear cameras has dual-tone LED Flash and provide the bokeh effect. Mi MIX 2S can customize the background of pictures with 6 types of dynamic effects, like AI Dream Bokeh and Starry Night effect with addition of 4-axis optical image stabilization. At the front is a 8-MP (f/ 2.0)selfie sensor and is also able to take photos with bokeh effect. The front camera of the Mi MIX 2S is also useful to support the unlocking through the face. In addition to this identification technology, the Mi Mix 2S also comes with a fingerprint sensor on the back.
At the connectivity level the Mi MIX 2S supports dual-SIM, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac dual band, Wi-fi direct, NFC and support LTE bands. Like the Mi MIX 2, the 3.5 mm headphone jack is left out. Android Oreo is the operating system with customization of MIUI 9. The Voice assistant Xiao AI is the new feature of the handset.
Price and Color Mi Mix 2S:
Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S will be available in three variants. One comes with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, another with 6GB and 128GB of storage. Yet there’s even a King with 8GB memory and 256GB of storage capacity.The standard version of the Mi MIX 2S comes in black color while the model with the ceramic body is available in white. The 6 GB RAM + 64 GB ROM variant shall cost about Rs. 34,000 (3299 CNY), while the 128 GB ROM model with 6 GB RAM will go with a price of around Rs. 37,200 (35 CNY). However, the top model with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB of storage will cost about RS.41,300 (3999 CNY).
