Before the launch of Tecno Camon 12 Air, the company sent launch event invitations to the media persons for the official event held in New Delhi. The company promoted the handset on Twitter with the hashtag “Spot the Dot” and #PricelessDot. Till now Tecno Camon 12 Air is the first smartphone from the company that offers punch-hole selfie shooter.
Before the Tecno Camon Air company’s other device of the Transsion Holdings sub-brand made a successful debut in the Indian market.

The Camon 12 Air’s highlighted feature is its punch-hole display, which the company is calling “Dot-in screen”. As per the claims, Tecno Camon 12 Air is the most affordable smartphone that comes with such a and available in the offline channels.
At the event CEO Transsion India, Arijeet Talapatra gave his statement that “With the launch of Camon 12 Air, we are still holding the crown of launching the most affordable smartphone for the Indian offline markets with dot-in screen.
An anti-oil fingerprint reader that unlocks the device as quick as 0.27 seconds. It also offers face unlock features for the users who like to unlock their smartphones with a glimpse of their faces.

Tecno Camon 12 Air gets a large 6.55-inch dot-in display. The display supports the HD+ resolution of 720*1600 pixels with a 20:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone offers a 90.3% screen-to-body ratio and a peak brightness of 500 nits.
The screen also offers Eye protection and reading mode, which reduces the brightness and produces warm colors for maximum comfort.
The device offers dual SIM connectivity with 4G network support and it performs all the tasks on HiOS 5.5 based on Android 9 pie. Under the hood, there is a MediaTek Helio P22 SoC Octa-Core processor which is perfectly fitt with 4GB of RAM.
In the camera section, it offers a camera setup board on the back. The features of the triple camera setup are as follow.
- The 16 megapixels comes with f/1.8 aperture, which helps the users to capture clear shots with default filters. It also offers AI features that include AI HDR, AI Beauty, Bokeh Mode, Google Lens.
