HTC used the IFA to officialize its new smartphone with the codename HTC U12 Life. This equipment is mid-range but keeps some specifications in common with the top-of-the-range model, the HTC U12 Plus.
This equipment has the dimensions of 158.5 x 75.4 x 8.3 mm and comes with acrylic and metal design. It should be noted that this smartphone does not have any IP certification.

The phone comes with a 6-inch screen that offers an FHD + resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels. It has an aspect ratio of 18: 9. Coupled with this is a 1.8GHz octa-core 636 Snapdragon processor, 4 GB of RAM, 64 GB of storage capacity. A microSD card slot is also present. In addition to the above capabilities, there is a 128 GB variant that will only be available in Taiwan.
Other features include a 3,600 mAh battery, a fingerprint reader located on the back, the Android Oreo operating system and the company’s Sense interface.
At the photography level, we find a dual camera config on the back with a primary 16 MP sensor with 2.0 focal aperture and a 5 MP secondary sensor. Already on the front, we find a camera for selfies of 13 MP with an LED flash and support for facial recognition. At the connectivity level, the HTC U12 Life includes support for two SIM cards, 4G VoLTE, 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, USB-C, NFC, and GPS.
The HTC U12 Life will be available first in Asia and then in Europe and other global markets. The colors available are Twilight Purple and Moonlight Blue. The price should be around Rs 23000.
