Samsung is expected to release it’s new A series smartphone sometime soon. Unlike 2017 where the company only announced A8 Plus, this year Samsung Galaxy A6 and A6+ are said to be launched with similar 18.5:9 display but at a smaller price. Earlier, A Geekbench listing revealed that Galaxy A6 and A6+ are in the works. Now, a more detailed leak has given out the specifications of these mid range devices.
Samsung Galaxy A6, A6+ Leaked Specifications
According to the leak Samsung Galaxy A6 will sport an 5.6-inch full-HD+ Infinity Display design with a 2220 × 1080 resolution. On the other hand Galaxy A6+ might feature a 6.0-inch display with FHD+ resolution. Both of these devices comes with a pixel density of 441 ppi and features an 18.5:9 aspect ratio.
On the Hardware front, Galaxy A6 will be powered by an octa-core Exynos 7870 SoC clocked at 1.59GHz and coupled with 3GB RAM/32GB inbuilt storage. Whereas Galaxy A6+ might come up with Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC alongside 4GB RAM and 32GB onboard storage. There’s no information about how much will be the expandable storage for both these devices.
Both of these smartphones will run on Android Oreo with Samsung Experience 9.0 on top of it. Previously, Geekbench listing of Galaxy A6 with model number SM-A600FN received 723 points in single-core test and 3605 points in multi-core test. While A6+ claimed 739 points in single-core test and 3469 points in multi-core test. Unlike the latest leak the Geekbench listing suggested that it will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 635 processor along with Adreno 506 GPU. The Galaxy A6+ will feature 4GB of RAM.
