What is all this drama? Did Sabrina Carpenter release a song that is a direct reply to Olivia Rodrigo’s viral song “driver’s license”? We are all really shook by the current ongoing drama between Sabrina Carpenter and Olivia Rodrigo over Joshua Bassett. Both the girls have released songs pointing fingers at each other, and we have all the detail.
A couple of days back High School Musical: The Musical: The Series star Olivia Rodrigo released “drivers license” which showed the whirlwind of emotions that she was experiencing. After listening to the song, fans immediately speculated that the song was about her relationship with Joshua Bassett and how it ended.
In the song, there is a part where Olivia says:
“And you’re probably with that blonde girl Who always made me doubt
She’s so much older than me
She’s everything I’m insecure about.”
These lyrics seemed to be pointing towards Sabrina Carpenter,21, who is blonde and 4 years older than Olivia,17. Sabrina has also been recently spotted spending time with Joshua,20.
So after all the drama, Sabrina came up with her own song, “Skin” as a reply. She sings:
“Maybe you didn’t mean it.
Maybe blonde was the only rhyme,”
Furthermore, she also sings:
“You can try to get under my, under my skin while he’s on mine,
I wish you knew that even you couldn’t get under my skin if I don’t let you in.”
All these lyrics seem to be pointing straight away at Olivia and her song. Sabrina seems to be telling Olivia that no matter what you say, you won’t break me.
