OPPO Reno A: An All-new​ very Balanced mid-range Smartphone

These days almost every high-end flagship smartphone is offering AI cameras. But why high-end flagships have all the fun? The allnew Oppo handset supports dual camera that uses artificial intelligence to enhance photo quality.

In the camera section, there is a dual-camera setup on the rear side that handles the photography. The dual camera lens details are as follows. A 16-megapixel camera is available to capture normal pictures and a 2-megapixel camera to capture depth shots. On the front side, there is a 25 megapixels front-facing camera.

Oppo Reno A packs a 6.4 inch AMOLED Waterdrop notch screen with a resolution of 2340×1080 and the aspect screen ratio is 19.5:9. Apart from all of these, there is an in-display fingerprint scanner that lies underneath the protective layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

The dual SIM OPPO Reno A runs on the Android 9 Pie operating system and ColorOS 6 UI layer on the top. The phone is powered by an octacore Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC which is coupled with 6GB RAM.

To power everything in the device, there is a reasonably huge 3,600 mAh battery with support of fast Charging. The latest phone stuffs 64 GB and 128 GB onboard storage into its chassis. And both of these are expandable via MicroSD card up to 256 GB.

Connectivity options on the Reno A include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC (FeliCa compatible), Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Sensors on the phone include an accelerometer, ambient light, gyro, magnetometer, and a proximity sensor.

Oppo Reno A Price and Availability in Japan

Oppo Reno A is available in Japan starting today and it can be bought through selected market retailers. The Oppo Reno A can be bought for JP ¥35,800, or about US $330. No words yet about the availability of the phone in the west, but hopefully it will make its way to other markets in the future.
