Patty Jenkins has been working on the movie’s script for the past few years. However, she stopped writing it in 2020 to include pandemic-related elements in the story. Currently, Gadon and Jenkins are collaborating to write the script of Wonder Woman 3. The script of the movie is almost completed. However, it is known that the third film will take place in the modern scenario since the writer no longer wants to visit the past and the past has been handled perfectly. Wonder Woman 3 received a greenlight last year on December 27. Even though Wonder Woman 1984 has a non-theatrical release, the makers are planning for the theatrical release of the third installment.

More about Wonder Woman

The first installment of the Wonder Woman franchise was released in 2017. The movie is based on a character of DC Comics that runs by the same name. Interestingly, the film was in the making since 1996and then finally got a release in 2017. Therefore, we can expect the third part of Wonder Woman to be released a few years later. However, the sequel of Wonder Woman, titled Wonder Woman 1984, was released three years later in 2020. The discussion of this movie began shortly after the first installment, and the same was announced. The movie’s principal photography began in 2018, and finally, the film was released in 2020. The shooting of the second installment was completed in six months.

Currently, two follow-ups of Wonder Woman 1984 are in process. The first one is the sequel, the third installment of Wonder Woman, and then there is a spin-off story that focuses on the Amazons of Themyscira. The only confirmed fact regarding 3 is that the movie is in its early development stage, and Jenkins and Gadot will be returning as the primary casts. Along with that, Warner Bros has also confirmed the movie.
