What to avoid eating if you are constipated

Constipation is a way too common problem and thus, it is experienced by many people. This problem exists when there are prevalent issues in the bowel movements. If someone is experiencing less than three bowel movements in a week, it means that he is constipated.

Those who are not even attaining three bowel movements but are just stuck to one have severe constipation. There are many symptoms which symbolize the existence of constipation issue in a person’s body and these include bloating, gas and excessive pain while passing stool. 

There are many foods that are highly responsible for causing constipation and similar discomfort to your body. Some of them are mentioned below: 

  1. Bananas: 

Bananas are the first thing which strike every person’s mind who is thinking to avoid constipation. These cause constipation and thus, now is the time for you to stop eating them. However, there lies a difference between the ripe and unripe bananas here.

Ripe bananas can prevent constipation and the unripe ones will certainly cause it. This is because they contain much starch which is hard. It would be difficult for your body to digest them. 

  1. Caffeine 

Caffeine should not be consumed if you are suffering from constipation. Its intake is only going to lead to an increase in your constipation related issues and nothing else! Thus, there exists a need to ensure that you are maintaining a notable distance from Caffeine.

Even if you are fond of it, you need to control yourself. Caffeine can make a person experience more bowel stools. Also, you don’t have to eat chocolate or drink black tea, colas since they will worsen the constipation.  

  1. Gluten

You might have already heard much about Gluten, but you can’t recognize it since it is not a commonly used word. This is a protein that is spotted in wheat, barley, and rye. The element is not responsible for causing constipation but a person can attain many problems if he has any allergies.

This might increase his irritation and lead to a bad mood when he is suffering from constipation. You can very easily have a taste of varied gluten-free foods available in the market. These are able to replace other breads as well as pastas that are rich in gluten. 

  1. White rice

White rice is considered to be the most common best friend of constipation. It is an element that helps the constipation grow and become excessive. Thus, avoiding eating the same! Here, we are mentioning about white rice. However, you can undoubtedly eat brown rice since it can relieve constipation. The white rice is prepared after removing husk and bran.

These two ingredients contain nutrients and if these are removed, nothing nutritional is left. On the other hand, brown rice has all of these, thus it can be used if you need to gain some relief from constipation. 

  1. Red meat

You should definitely avoid red meat if you are a patient of constipation. There exist plenty of reasons to ‘not consume’ red meat! Several reasons exist about why and how is red meat responsible for constipation. It is rich in fats; thus, it takes a lot of time and difficulty to digest the same.

Apart from that, it also consists of many tough protein fibers which are also not very easy to digest. There is a presence of iron in red meat and iron can cause constipation way too easily! 

  1. White bread

This is not a normal bread. There lies a difference between the whole grain bread and white bread. You need to know that the whole grain breads are helpful in relieving constipation. While on the other hand, white bread is one of the prime reasons causing constipation.

They can also worsen this physical ailment. These breads have a high amount of starch and it can easily back you up! You just need to ensure that you and your family are consuming whole grains bread instead of white bread. 

Constipation is a very serious issue and it must never be avoided! If you are suffering from the same, or are even doubting that you have it, go and get it checked by a doctor. Not only this, you would also have to maintain your diet and avoid the above-mentioned foods. This would help you in not making your constipation much excessive.
