Recently Honor 20 Lite (Youth Edition) spotted listed online on Chinese certification website TENAA. With the listing, we can assume that Honor 20 Lite will be available in China’s smartphone market soon. If we go in the past, we will get to know that Honor 10 youth edition was much popular among the Honor fans in China because of its impressive design and specifications.
When a fan tagged Honor president in his tweer and asked about switching to a new mobile. Later on, Zhao replied “you can wait because Honor 20 Youth Edition is coming soon.
Although, Zhao didn’t reveal any information about the device. So, technically we have to wait for an official statement about its features and launch date. Recently, Honor 20 Lite received a TENAA certificate (you can see image below. But it’s in the Chinese language) and it seems to be a good challenger for this place.
Earlier, the “Youth editions” of Honor smartphones are usually the “Lite” variants build for the Chinese smartphone market. But this time this device will not be the Honor 20 Lite edition. Because earlier Honor rebranded Honor 20 Lite to Honor 20i for the Chinese market. And both of these had already been introduced the previous year.
The TENNA listing suggests Honor 20 youth edition in China will offer slightly different specification in comparison to the international variant.
Honor 20 Youth Edition Specifications and Features
As per the listing, Honor’s new handset will boast a 6.21 inch OLED waterdrop notch screen. Which will offer a full HD resolution of 1080 x 2340
As per the listing, the phone can be seen listed to sport an on screen fingerprint scanner, instead of that old fashion rear fingerprint scanner which can be seen in the Malaysian variant of the handset.
It will be powered by Kirin 710 2.2 GHz octa-core processor which is paired with 4GB, 6GB, and 8GB RAM options. While the onboard storage can be stretched up to 128GB.
As for the optics, The handset on TENAA is listed to feature a triple camera setup with 48 megapixels main shooter with f/1.8 aperture, a 120-degree. The rear camera setup also includes an 8 megapixels ultrawide lens and a 2 megapixels depth camera sensor.
The highlighted feature of the device is under its photography section as the rear side triple camera setup AI multi scene recognition and super night scene mode. And on the front side, there will be a 32 megapixels camera that support AI beautification feature.
The smartphone is promised to run on the Android pie operating system and packs a 3,900 mAh battery. But we don’t know whether it will support fast charging or not. If it support fast charging then what will be the charger’s wattage?
Honor 20 Youth Edition Availability and Price
As per the Honor president’s comment, Honor 20 Youth Edition is mainly designed for young people and students. So, it is expected that the price of Honor 20 Youth Edition will not be so high. And after considering the features and previous record of Huawei it should be priced near 1399 yuan (about $196).
