There is no official news of the release of the Demon Slayer Season 2. Fans are anticipating its release in the second half of 2021. Demon Slayer is a favorite among the anime community. And there is no denying that everyone is dying to see Tanjiro in action again.
The story so far
The story so far is about a boy, Tanjiro Kamado, who is out in search of revenge for the murder of his family. Tanjiro hunts the demons, namely ‘Oni,’ who brutally killed his parents. Along with Tanjiro is his little sister Nezuko, who somehow gotten away from Oni during the attack but has become a demon herself.
From here, Tanjiro’s Demon Slaying adventures begin. He is all sets out to cure his sister and take revenge for his family’s brutal killing. On his expedition, he makes new friends and learns a lot from the people he meets.
It is quite uncommon for a movie to be in continuation to a series. But the Mugen Train Movie is directly a continuation of the Demon Slayer’s first season. The movie shows Tanjiros and his comrades’ adventures on the Mugen train after completing their training at the Butterfly mansion.
As per insights, the Demon Slayer Season 2 will take off exactly from where the Mugen train movie ends. So, if you are a fan of season one of demon slayer, then I suggest you watch Mugen Train beforehand to avoid any confusion in the continuation of the story.

The release date for the next season is still very vague and unsure. In comparison to releases of various series, fans deduce that the season will probably be out in fall 2021. There’s been an official announcement from the creators of this show that it will release in 2021, pretty frustrating, right. The first season was available for the first time to viewers between April and September 2019.
So, it is very likely the second season will also make a debut in the following months. The months may vary this time as not to clash with the release of the second part of the fourth season of Attack on Titan, also a much-awaited show by the anime community.
Season 2 of the Demon Slayer will follow the “Entertainment District” arc of the Manga. This is pretty much clear after the story and the ending of the Mugen Train movie. The story in Mugen Train is in continuation with the story in season one of the series, and it is clear that the “Entertainment District” arc comes next in season 2.

Now fans know the ending of the first season, Tanjiro and his comrades are given their first assignment on behalf of the Demon Slayer Corp. The crux of the story is Tanjiro and co try to take down the Lower One of The Twelve Moons. It is the group of demons led by the killer of the Tanjiros Family.
After a theatrical and emotional ending to the Mugen Train movie, the Infinity Train saga ends. Season 2 will show Tanjiro and the Demon Slayer Corp dealing with the repercussions of the Mugen Train incidents. Expect some new storylines and characters if the series follows the Manga because the writers promise to deliver stronger and much more evil foes than before.

Meanwhile, a small trailer for the second season was released some time ago. It shows Tanjiro and his comrades traveling to Yoshiwara, a town that many people fear as it is known to be full of demons and dark desires. The trailer shows Tanjiro chasing someone, maybe his family’s killers. The chances are high that Tanjiro will face one or two of the Upper Moon members.
Therefore, we can expect some great action scenes from the upcoming season. All the fans have been waiting for a very long time for the arrival of the second season. So, we all surely deserve to see some insane sword-fighting and demon-killing scenes. Nevertheless, all the fans wholeheartedly want Tanjiro to get the justice he truly deserves.
